The Virginia Green Initiative is expanding! We’re building partnerships with Clean Fairfax, Washington Gas Holdings (WGL), Prince William County and many local businesses.

It was a packed meeting, reviewing updates (the Green Challenge is open and ready to take!), discussing upcoming events and guest speakers and then wrapping up with our spotlight speaker Tim Reichert of Energy Sherlock and Stephanie Burns of the Business Climate Leaders action network.

Tim Reichert was our Business Spotlight Speaker and gave a great talk on how his company helps businesses conserve energy through some very innovative techniques, with the stats to prove their techniques work! Energy Sherlock also provides R2 certified recycling and disposal of all types of equipment (IT, electronics, telecomm, medical, industrial) to protect our landfills and to prevent data and information on equipment from becoming a cyber-security risk.
