Najib Salehi has been a champion for energy conservation and sustainability with one of the fastest growing County in the United States, Loudoun County Government, since 2004. His responsibilities as an energy manager include energy and billing audits, utility coordination, and commodities procurement. He has served as Dominion Energy Account Manager assisting local governments for 18 years.
Mr. Salehi was instrumental in the development of Loudoun’s County-wide Energy Strategy. He led the Energy Task Force assigned by the County administrator to develop an Energy Improvement Plan for the County as well as developing plans to meet the Virginia Municipal League (VML) Green Government Challenge and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government (MWCOG) Cool Capital Challenge. He is currently leading the Energy Conservation Cabinet Team that consists of liaisons from all the departments responsible for energy/carbon emission reduction in all the County facilities.
Mr. Salehi is currently serving as a Board of Director for Virginia Energy Purchasing Governmental Association and Clean Air Partners.
