Dr. Mary Haberl: Vice President

After a career in education in New York State as teacher, program coordinator, principal, director, executive director, adjunct college professor in areas of special education, environmental education, community service and service learning, nutrition, and music education. Mary retired and and moved to Virginia to be with my family who all were living in DC Metro.

I Immediately began considering what a gift it was to be living in NOVA and began a consulting business and joined the Leesburg Environmental Advisory Committee and started a consulting business with hopes offering curriculum program assistance in my areas of expertise.

This lead to program development consultation with the Loudoun Symphony, individuals in sustainable businesses, and into partnership in a new solar energy business. At present, Mary is the owner of Solar4 Leesburg LLC.

October 10, Solar4Leesburg LLC will be 8 years old with business in VA, MD and DC. SolarFour (dba) has received awards for technology, innovation, leadership, education forums, community involvement, and business planning by local, regional and national organizations.

Mary’s (w/ program business partner Candice Guillaudeu) and the NorthGate Vineyard owners, education forums and presentations in Loudoun County Schools and elsewhere have been recognized as unique in design and development. Our instruction was combined with networking, live music, and catered by a variety of local restaurants.

Over 5 years there were 25 presentations that promoted participation in policy, legislation, with
SolarFour being a part of the development of the VA Energy Plan in conjunction with lobbying for increased incentives, rebates for all VA residents and commercial projects.

Mary is a graduate of the SUNY system in NY with a BS, MS, and Ed.D in education with emphasis on research, administration, and clinical positions in public and private institutions.
